Hi! I’m Eleanor Robertson, a writer living in Sydney. I am currently freelancing (exciting) and contributing to Frankie Magazine. I’ve been doing bits and bobs for The Saturday Paper and Meanjin too.
I just wrapped up writing for season 4 of The Weekly with Charlie Pickering, an actual television show, that is shown on television.
I do occasional columns for The Guardian Australia and used to do them for Daily Life, as well as working on twice daily news satire outfit The Backburner. I’ve written for SBS Comedy, Junkee, The Spinoff and Overland.
I’ve spoken on the radio at 2ser, fbi, 3aw and ABC Outsiders, as well as in person at Giant Dwarf, where I gave a short but widely beloved presentation called James Bond Doesn’t Jack Off. I’ve been on Living The Dream, talking about feminism and left politics, and Boonta Vista Socialist Club, chatting about a bunch of absolute rubbish.
I tweet @marrowing and blog infrequently on my Medium page.
I am writing a book for Melbourne University Publishing. Please don’t ask me when it will be finished.
You can reach me at eleanor.j.robertson at gmail.com if you’d like to chat about working together, or if you know a really good place to get malatang.
